Beautiful view of the ocean and the sunsets. We could listen to the waves crashing at night. The location was great. Easy walk to town and the beach. We usually drove (4minutes) to the beach because we had dogs and gear. The bathrooms are new and the kitchen was well equipped. It was a good cottage.

THE DEEP DIVE
All BeachHauses are engineered for simple, easy living. All BeachHauses feature self check-in and check-out. They're stocked with beach toys, beach towels, bath towels, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, olive oil, and cooking-ready kitchens.
Welcome to the SeaView Cottage: You're looking forward to a month enjoying California's golden coast – that’s the rental minimum for this residential area located on the hill in Olde Del Mar above L'Auberge overlooking one of San Diego County’s finest white sand beaches. You wake up fresh and stroll down to the coffee shops in the village or to Powerhouse Park on the beach just a 1/2 mile away. Or head north to the charming Cedros Design District in Solana Beach.
Either way, come home to your coastal retreat, our old school charming cottage including updated kitchen and bathrooms, and fresh furnishings that are always fun and never fussy. Experience California Dreaming at its best with our outdoor patio, full size grill, and of course, the backyard deck for never ending amazing views and sunsets. You’ll feel at home here and at the same time, worlds away. Our WiFi is "screamin" fast and with desks in every room you can combine your work/school/play activities with ease. We are pet friendly but the yard is not fenced and we may not be the best fit for toddlers or little ones that may stray to the edges of the yard where the drop off (although cushioned with ice plant) to the neighbors yard is significant.

We spent 2 weeks at the SeaView Cottage in Del Mar. Location: Heaven. And that's not a joke. This neighborhood is a hidden wonderland of lush, mature landscaping and wildlife. My kids named it the "Surf Shire." Walking distance to the Del Mar Plaza and Powerhouse Park. Take the scenic route by going up Culebra and then right on Zapo and right on Serpentine and enjoy an eclectic home tour. House: Small but efficient. The home and kitchen were one of the best-equipped rentals I've ever stayed in. The view and the open spaces make the home feel much larger. Watching the surf and sunsets from bed was an epic treat. Vibe: Beach chill but also upper class. Friendly neighbors, but I don't think I'd want to push any limits on parking rules. BeachHaus: Excellent group to work with! I found their communication to be polite and timely and felt like I found great value by booking with them direct. Super welcoming for those of us with dogs. Note: no fence in back yard. Summary: SeaView Cottage is the place I want to live out my days. Our stay was not only comfortable, fun and relaxing but also healing, inspiring and centering. Very highly recommend...just not on the dates I want!

It is rare that a house checks off all one’s needs in one go- 1888 Seaview is that rarity. From a beautifully equipped kitchen to scenic views of the Pacific Ocean (as well as its waves sound!) to a location that is walkable to town - this cottage exceeded our expectations. The swift responsiveness of the BeachHouse staff is just icing on the cake. We will be sure to return next year.
