Staying here felt like we were part of the family. Such a beautiful property with breathtaking views and everything we needed. The house and property were even more spacious than the photos show. Our family was very comfortable. And the beach supplies were so helpful. Quick drive to restaurants and stores. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Can't wait to stay again some day!

THE DEEP DIVE
All BeachHauses are engineered for simple, easy living. All BeachHauses feature self check-in and check-out. They're stocked with beach toys, beach towels, bath towels, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, olive oil, and cooking-ready kitchens.
Perched atop a quiet bluff overlooking the lagoon and Pacific, you can hike 1 mile to the beach through immaculately maintained trails or 1 mile south to downtown Solana Beach and the Cedros Design District. The original record collection, wood paneling, beaded curtains, and pull-chain toilets keep the original funky-retro spirit alive. The brand new carpets, appliances, mattresses, and furnishings keep everything fresh. (We've added a few lava lamps too, just for fun). Enjoy foosball, ping pong, 2 smart TV's, and ample indoor/outdoor nooks and seating areas.

House Rules:
* Very steep driveway. Maximum of 3 cars in the driveway.
* NO SMOKING and no fire (candles included) anywhere on the premises except in the wood burning stove.
* Voices carry at night from our hilltop so please bring all conversations inside by 10:00PM.
* The yard is not fenced with steep surrounding terrain. Young children and pets should not be left unattended

Such a beautiful home and the views are outstanding! We loved the retro theme of the house and hope to visit again in the future. The hosts were very communicative and friendly and the home had wonderful amenities to make us feel right at home for a relaxing and peaceful stay.

The house is everything we hoped it would be. Gorgeous spot and served as a great backdrop to our family celebration. The views were in credible and bird watching was so awesome!! It had something for every member of our group. We decided to take my 89 year old father with us after booking, so only thing I would say is to be mindful of the steps that lead into the house, if you have a person with mobility issues in your group. Luckily, he managed, but something I wanted to share with others. We hope to be back!!

Great time at this fun retro house. We really enjoyed hanging out in the family room chatting and playing games. The kitchen was fully stocked to prepare nice meals while we were there. Great flow and spacious house. We also enjoyed being close to the trailhead to annie’s canyon and walk to the beach

Our family of 6 adults had a wonderful stay at The Retro Retreat. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped, has beautiful views and was super conveniently located for the beach, shopping, hiking, anything you need. Beachhaus Rentals was helpful and accommodating from the time of rental through checkout, when they phoned us to advise that we left a few items behind. Highly recommended!
