The area is safe and quiet, and since you’re on a cul-de-sac this street is especially well suited for a relaxing vacation. Del Mar is a wonderful area: you’re a few minutes’ walk from downtown’s shops, restaurants, and playgrounds. You’re right next the Del Mar fairgrounds, and the beach of course. Downtown Solana Beach—with its great art district and gym/yoga offerings—is less than a mile north.

The Octopus Hideaway is an easy two-minute walk to the beach. We're not kidding: you may find this little bungalow duplex so charming that it's hard to leave. But the joy lies in its proximity to the beach: two minutes by foot, through a charming neighborhood and without a care in the world. So load up the house wagon with our beach toys and yours if you want, then dip in the ocean and relax into the sand. Come back to this charming spot--our first BeachHaus, but recently updated (end of 2023)--and know that you're in good hands and among friends in North County San Diego.
